Over The Air Hd Channels?
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009Should I Buy A 720p Or 1080p Tv If I Wanna Watch Sd Channels On It?
Wednesday, August 19th, 2009I am upgrading my verizon services to fios extreme HD plan. Most of the channels they offer in this plan are SD and some of them r HD.I read on Internet that SD on HDTV sucks I think it bcz of it’s resolution so I wanna buy a tv on which both SD and HD looks good. Is 720 better for both or it’s doesn’t make any difference and what kinda tv would be best for watching SD and HD channels. thx in advance

Channels On Verizon Fios - Essentials?
Wednesday, July 15th, 2009I am considering move to Verizon Fios, and have two non-HD TVs (so would be using standard service and standard converter boxes).
Can any current Verizon Fios user, in VA/Loudoun County area, confirm if Bravo Channel (std, not HD) is included in the Fios Essentials TV service? It doesn’t show on channel list.
On the HD Fios service (next tier up from Essentials), a Bravo HD channel shows, but not a standard version of channel (which is not consistent).
Discussions with Verizon team (that takes orders) did not yield an answer.
In summary, two questions:
1. Does Essentials include Bravo channel, standard?
2. Does HD service include both a Bravo HD channel (which is already confirmed) and a standard channel?
Thx
Am I Able To Get Just Local Tv Channels Without Cable?
Monday, July 6th, 2009Money has become very tight. I need to drop some bills, but the only thing that is left to drop, is my verizon triple deal thing where I get home phone, the internet, and of course the fios tv network thing). I pay $119 after the taxes are tacked on. I can do without the home phone since I already have a cell phone. It will suck that I don’t have the internet, but I can always use it at the local libary and the college I’m attending. But I still would like to have at least the local channels so I can watch the news and so that my kids would be able to watch some tv when the local channels do put cartoons on. My question basically is, am I able to get just the local channels free in my area by hooking the tv up to the cable thing in the wall? Or is there a fee to get the local channels through a company? I live in Pittsburgh Pa. I truly need that $119 a month even though it still isn’t enough to help me get by on, but it’s $119 more to live off of.
Changing Channels On Verizon Fios?
Thursday, July 2nd, 2009i have verizon fios tv in my house
and the ch+- button or the numeric buttons do not work to change the channels on the tv
when you press those buttons the clear DVD button on the top lights up but nothing happens.
ive looked up troubleshooting on the verizon fios website
and it said that i should press the TV buttons first..
but that doesnt work
ive tried re-configuring the tv to the remote several times and that doesnt work either.
any ideas?
I Just Got An Hd Tv But For Some Reason The Hd Channels Do Not Fit The Full Screen. I Have Verizon Fios?
Friday, June 26th, 2009You have it in stretch or zoom. They should only be used when you are watching SDTV or normal tv not HD. HD doesn’t need to be stretched or zoomed because its the full screen. Also, if you set it to auto DVI it should do it for you.
How Do You Scan For Channels On Your Tv If You Have Satellite?
Wednesday, June 24th, 2009I have Verizon Fios and its similar to satellite for my reference to where you watch everything on channel 3, so i tried to hook it up to the HD part of my TV to make sure all is well before i order HD service, but when i hooked it up it said i had to scan channels before anything. SO, when i tried to scan channels it wouldnt find any, not even on channel 3 where the input is coming from, and i dont have just basic channels anywhere in the house so i dont know what to do. Any ideas?
Verizon Fios Seems To Be Very Slow In Implementing New Hd Channels. Does Any One Know Why?
Wednesday, June 17th, 2009I have noticed that Cox, Dish and Direct TV services have more HD channels than does Verizon FIOS. When I call Verizon and ask if they are planning to add more HD they state they don’t know . Does any one have insite as to their plans or should I make the switch to another company.
