I dont get it. Verizon offers their “SO COOL” FIOS (fiber optic) internet; Comcast offers their BLAZING fast (faster than FIOS, i get 20 mbits/sec) Internet, but yet NO ONE ON THE INTERNET (servers, downloading places, file sharing/torrent) can even come close to offering you the ability to download ANYTHING at NEARLY the same speed. The fastest place I’ve seen to download (remains anonymous due to bad memory) was a whopping two (2) megabytes/second. Thats a stretch, I KNOW! Its hard to find a file server that will get you anywhere NEAR that (norm is 350-800 kb/s, but I’ve seen slower). my question is WHY this is (when there is pleanty of speed for comcast and FIOS customers), and WHEN will it change?!?! Im sick of having to deal with RAPIDSHARES “wait 95 minutes so you can download another 100 megabyes” bullcrap. Shouldnt we be able to recieve FULL broadband through the air waves yet? That’s all the internet is, a worldwide phone system. Why is it so primitive still?
