If i upgrade my verizon dsl account to 7mbps, do i need to upgrade my modem also? Its a westell b90 2100. I currently only have 1.5mbs. I dont want to switch to cable.

I Want To Upgrade My Computer?

still runs well, I have Windows XP sp2. And I have Verizon Fios for my Internet.
Anyway here is my system now:
Intel Celleron Processor 330
80GB HD (47.7 free space currently)
512MB DDR SDRam
2.66 Ghz
256k L2 cache
CD-RW 48x max write
Anyway any suggestions on what to upgrade for better faster performance? or would it be cheaper for a new pc?
Also a new 19″ Widescreen LCD Flat Panel so I want to get the best quality I can get!

Sunday, June 21st, 2009I’m planning to upgrade to Verizon FIOS TV and currently have DSL for my internet through Verizon. DSL is cheaper than FIOS and fast enough for me, so I’d rather get FIOS TV and stick with DSL internet. But it looks like to get FIOS TV Verizon would replace my existing phone interface on the outside of my house and I’m thinking that means I would have to use FIOS internet as well. Does anyone know if this is right or if I’d be able to keep plain DSL after upgrading to FIOS TV? I’d call Verizon, but they are closed for the weekend now.
