I have verizon fios but when i change to HDTV channel it doesn’t show off. Do i have to buy anything?
I guess we have the basic package. How do i know what
package I’m using?
And how much do i have to pay more to watch HDTV in verizon fios?

(b.t.w I have 42″ PDP TV it’s not full hdtv but it is hdtv )

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009we have verizon fios - we have the box
and a new flat screen tv.
the tv does not use video 1,2, etc. i think it uses a/v inputs
im not even sure what that means.
whenever we press a/v inout on our verizon fios remote it takes us to a menu and we click on the dvd option. whenever we do this, the screen in pretty much black and there’s a message going around the screen saying “no signal” but we can hear the audio from the dvd… no picture
what’s the problem? what can we do?

How Do You Want To Watch Tv?
Friday, September 4th, 2009I’ve been spoiled with Linux over the years. Programs like Myth TV allow me to (with an internet connection) download thousands of TV shows and view them at my leisure. Recently though I’ve noticed that some companies are offering on demand channels (Sprint being the biggest one with their FIOS service). I really like the idea of being able to watch what I want when I want.
My question is, would you want a service like this, and how much would you be willing to pay for it? Should we as consumers demand more of these types of services from our television providers? Is this the future of TV?

Most of the channels they offer in this plan are SD and some of them r HD.I read on Internet that SD on HDTV sucks I think it bcz of it’s resolution so I wanna buy a tv on which both SD and HD looks good. Is 720 better for both or it’s doesn’t make any difference and what kinda tv would be best for watching SD and HD channels. thx in advance

that i am using for my computer.
i reasontly moved my tv out of my room and would like to put it back in there, but unforunatly i dont have a spot to put it.
I have a Samsung LTN1735 17-Inch LCD
(flatscreen LCD tv)
i have verizon fios, for internet and for the cable.
for my tv i use the box for all my channels.
i would like to trash the computer monitor i have right now, and move in my samsung tv and used it as my monitor.
i was looking at the tv to see if it had the same plug ins as my computer screen, and it does. so i figure that its going to work out and i can just use my tv as a new monitor.
heres the question..
can i use my tv screen as a monitor, like have it hooked up to my computer, and also have it hooked up to my verizon box so i can use it to watch my cable tv also?
